About
I am Mr Entropy, or MrE for short. I have been since the days of BBS’. If you don’t know what a BBS is then it’s safe to say that I was MrEntropy for longer than it matters.
I’m a middle-aged, white male. I think way too much and spout off about things I know little to nothing about. It keeps me entertained.
When it comes to reading and writing I’m a late bloomer. I had no interest until somewhere around middle school. Then, figuratively, I exploded. My older sister was into science fiction and fantasy and after she went to college I inherited her room and her bookshelf. I believe I read through everything she had and then began acquiring my own tastes, which went counter to hers.
Somewhere in there I decided that I could write if I wanted to, and ended up amazing my English teachers with my journals. I also annoyed them because I would begin stories and carry them on for a week and then not finish them. Ever. I think I realized I had talent when, during a class assignment that required us to write something and read it to our small group, I finished reading mine and the girl next to me said, “Wow. It’s like a real person wrote that!”
Unfortunately, I’ve never done anything productive with my writing. Something I hope I can change. Until then I write these blogs.
In these blogs you’ll find many things. Creative writing, conspiracy theories, wacky political standings and who knows what else. A lot of things I write because I find them funny. Some I write to purposefully annoy you. Some things I really believe in, and other things I really want to believe in but don’t. Have fun trying to sort them out.
Originally from New Jersey, I moved to the Austin, Texas, area several years ago. I drove down here in my 1997 Pontiac Trans-Am, a car which I dearly loved but have since parted with. Despite my love of movies like Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit and Gumball Rally I did not drive down here at top speed being chased by state troopers.
I’m very interested in hearing other people’s opinions so feel free to leave a comment.
